Another problem is that internal numbers can also be off. My host lowballs my numbers on my episode downloads while my dynamic ad insertions tell a different story. They say it’s a problem with my prefixes, but if they can track the number of plays my inserted ads get, they should be able to track the number of plays my episodes get.

A little less of American-centered view would be appreciated: in Italy Apple Podcast accounts for less than 20% of downloads. My podcast has a 89%-8% rate for Spotify vs Apple.

Yes… I had exactly the same issue with the sticky coating. I’ve had mine for about 7 years. I did fix it cleaning it with rubbing alcohol but it took a bit to remove the stickiness. Good as new now 🙂

I have been podcasting since 2007. At no point, save a small period 2013-2015, has any show I’ve been involved with been considered attractive by advertisers.

Meanwhile, the only platform I know of that enables hosts to find adverts, Podcorn, is so difficult to use that I just don’t bother.
