For remote interviews, what if we want to record via Skype/ecamm rather than a digital recorder? Or what if we want to use Skype/ecamm and a digital recorder for back up? Does that recording chain work? I have a Zoom H6, could that be used as a preamp instead? Finally, if the Zoom H6 didn’t work, would the Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 work as a preamp, or would that not help enough with noise floor problems? I keep reading about how great the Scarlett Focusrite is, but am trying to minimize my gear. I thought about just getting this but then someone told me that it doesn’t help enough with noise and I’d still need something like SS-1. Thank you!!
