I have no complaints at placing all for my podcasts.

I made about 15 or more podcasts with them. I then decided to re-brand and thus remove my podcasts to edit them. This was when my nightmare began. The podcasts were removed from the Anchor platform easily, but all the places they had distributed it to, was not removed. I dealt with customer service who would take ages to respond to my emails. Only after nagging them and threatening them, did they help me slowly to remove some of the podcasts from some of the platforms. It ended up taking me a month to remove my podcasts from all the platforms online, and at the end, they told me they could not remove the others for me. I had to contact each company individually to remove it. Thankfully the company's removed it eventually, but some were foreign and I even had to translate the pages! This all was long-winded and unnecessary, and made me feel that I had no control of where my podcast would be distributed and whether or not I could take it down when I wanted. I did not like this at all, as life changes, and people's views change, and sometimes what we say might not be relevant anymore. So be careful if you are posting on Anchor, because you really don't have much control if you want to delete your podcast off the web.]]> Thanks for the great tips! 👍🏻I had a terrible experience with Anchor. Would submitting your podcast to the podcast platforms yourself get around this issue?

Glad you’re having a good experience. There’s a podcast host for everyone, it’s a matter of finding the right fit.

About the branding their product. You can now take the anchor emblem off your podcast art. If I didn’t tell you I use anchor the only way you’d know is the ad I do for them every podcast which I’m happy to do. I’ve had nothing but a fantastic experience so far. I’m on episode 71 of my podcast. Averaging just around 100-250 plays per daily episode. I’ve made around $70 through the ads. Cashed out several time easily. I love anchor so much. I switched over from libsyn, got tired of doing all the work everyday. Anchor does all the heavy lifting. As for the complaints in this article, the editing tools are far better now, no sound gaps between segments, sounds fantastic every episode with the right mix I’m using. I give anchor 5 stars and two thumbs up. I’m so very happy I found it. Oh, and it’s totally free. I’m no longer shelling out $100-300 a month to podcast. They also provide sponsors for you. And their CPM (cost per mille) is a competitive $$ number. However, so far my only two ads are Spotify and anchor. I actually just emailed them about getting g another new sponsor and asked if I could do my own networking, find a third or fourth sponsor on my own then setting it up on my anchor podcast. I’ll let you know what they say. Anchor for the win.

I’m totally new to the wonderful world of Podcasting and have just started using Anchor.

I checked the buttons to remove branding from the cover art and the post roll.

There’s no anchor logo on my cover art. I don’t even know what post roll is but I don’t see any obvious branding.

I use Audacity to edit my files and everything is working fine.
