Thanks for sharing Colin, I have to say that I really enjoyed your presentation on the podcast equipment set up as it helped to make sense of the plethora of options out there. I’d totally agree that it was a superb event and would encourage anyone that missed it to come along next year as those that came were such a lovely, friendly group of people.

I’ll definitely be going again next year!

Cheers for the comment Andy – there’s definitely some interest in bringing together a directory of UK podcasts, so that’s something I might look into on this site. But, your idea of an internet radio station, or channel, that could play them all the time, could be pretty interesting! I haven’t looked into running an automated channel where episodes play around the clock – I wonder if there would be interest in such a thing…

Interesting post Colin; I wondered how the event had gone – and spent the weekend kicking myself for having missed it.

Re your point on ” ‘competition’ isn’t really a word in our vocabulary…..”

I’m with you – Podcasting is a segment of the online business that lends itself to collaboration – perhaps even a central directory or ‘station’ of ‘channels’ : none of us can make enough content – so pooling it seems a natural progression?

Just a thought – hope to see you at the next event – which I will certainly get to!
